The Lowrance Point-1 GPS Antenna & Heading Sensor is a precision marine GPS and electronic compass designed to provide fast, accurate position, speed and heading information. Using GPS/GLONASS positioning and an integrated electronic compass, the Point-1 provides smooth 10Hz position and heading updates for compatible Lowrance displays and NMEA 2000 marine electronics networks.
The Point-1 is an ideal upgrade for a boat's GPS, chartplotter or multifunction display, particularly where accurate heading information is required for chart stabilisation, radar overlay and accurate course information at low speeds.

Lowrance Point-1 GPS & Heading Sensor
The Lowrance Point-1 combines a high-speed GPS receiver with an integrated electronic compass. Unlike a basic GPS antenna that only provides position information, the Point-1 also supplies heading data to compatible marine electronics.
This makes it useful for applications where the direction the boat is pointing needs to remain accurate, including navigation, chart stabilisation and radar overlay.
10Hz GPS Position Updates
The Point-1 provides position updates at up to 10Hz, giving compatible displays smooth and responsive position information while the boat is moving. Fast updates are particularly useful when navigating at speed or manoeuvring around fishing spots.
The GPS receiver supports GPS and GLONASS, with additional satellite systems and correction technologies supported depending on configuration and software.
Integrated Electronic Compass
The built-in electronic compass provides 10Hz heading information as well as other heading and motion data. This allows compatible chartplotters and multifunction displays to maintain accurate orientation even when the boat is travelling slowly.
The heading information can also be used for chart stabilisation and radar overlay, helping improve the accuracy and usability of connected marine electronics.
NMEA 2000 GPS Antenna
The Lowrance Point-1 uses NMEA 2000 connectivity to communicate position, heading and other sensor information across a compatible marine electronics network.
It can be connected to compatible Lowrance displays and other NMEA 2000 network equipment, making it a practical GPS and heading upgrade for boats with an existing marine electronics network.
