Very Disappointed

I tried my new smoker over the long Easter weekend and was disappointed that the fish ( mullet and snapper) I had smoked had a foul taste of meths. I investigated the smoker and found there were hairline gaps around the inside of the smoker so the meths can get through to the fish and when I washed the smoker beforehand I did see bubbles coming out around the edges. Also the fish was covered in sawdust due to the smoker popping several times. The fish had to be thrown away because after I tasted it I couldn't eat the rest. Which was a shame as my family and I were looking forward to having fresh smoked fish. This is the most expensive smoker I have bought so I thought it would be alot better quality. I've had lots of different smokers in the past I found the older models were better quality. I have bought the cheaper models from Bunnings/Mitre 10 but the quality is cheap and you can taste the meths on the fish and the metal kept popping so sawdust would get all over the fish. This smoker did the same thing which was disheartening because I thought it had better quality steel for the price I paid. I will be messaging the seller to return the smoker as its not doing the job its supposed to.

Hi Helena, apologies again this product wasnt up to scratch and hope you found something suitabe with your refunded money. Many thanks Dion.
