Balzer Shirasu IM-12 Trout Collector – Ultra Light Trout Rod | 0.4-3g

The Balzer Shirasu IM-12 Trout Collector Ultra Light Rod is built for anglers who enjoy the finesse and excitement of fishing ultra-light lures for trout. Developed with Balzer's Trout Attack Pro Staff Team, this specialist rod is designed for fishing rubber worms, tiny spoons and other micro lures where sensitivity and precise lure control are essential.

With an exceptionally light 0.4–3g casting range, the Shirasu IM-12 allows anglers to work tiny lures with subtle movements. Its super-sensitive tip transmits even the smallest twitch, giving micro lures additional movement while helping detect delicate trout takes.

The 40Ton IM-12 carbon fibre blank provides a highly responsive and lightweight platform, while Titanium SIC guides are suitable for both fine monofilament and braided lines.

Designed for Ultra-Light Trout Fishing

The Trout Collector has been developed specifically around the demands of micro-lure trout fishing. Its sensitive tip allows anglers to impart tiny movements to lightweight lures while registering subtle takes that can be difficult to feel with a conventional spinning rod.

The 0.4–3g casting range makes it ideal for small spoons, rubber worms and other ultra-light trout presentations.

40Ton IM-12 Carbon

The 40Ton IM-12 carbon fibre blank provides the combination of sensitivity, responsiveness and low weight required for specialist ultra-light fishing.

The precision-ground tongue and groove joints help provide accurate section alignment, while the Vector Angle Guide system contributes to the rod's overall casting and line-management performance.

Premium Components

The Shirasu IM-12 is equipped with a FUJI screw-in reel seat, ergonomic Duplon handle and Titanium SIC guides. The guides are suitable for modern ultralight setups using either fine mono or braid.

A removable hook holder adds practical convenience when moving between spots or storing the rod.
