The Tica Ezi-Cast EC100 Baitcast Reel NZ is a lightweight, high-quality baitcaster designed for anglers who want speed, smooth casts, and reliable performance without a premium price tag. Its 6.3:1 gear ratio offers quick line retrieve and efficient lure work, making it suitable for inshore applications like slow jigging, trout fishing or general casting.
Built on a rigid graphite frame with a forged aluminium spool, the EC100 stays light (about 210 g) while remaining durable. The reel is equipped with 2 NMB bearings plus 2 ball bearings for smooth operation, a magnetic cast control system to help manage spool speed, and an instant anti-reverse for positive hook sets. Its star drag system delivers up to 7 kg of drag pressure, giving you confidence when fighting fish.
With a line capacity of approx. 175 m at 6 kg mono (220 m PE1) and about 71 cm per handle turn retrieve rate, this baitcast reel NZ anglers choose blends performance and ease of use — perfect if you’re stepping up from entry-level reels.
