The Balzer Trout Collector Larva Bee is a soft, scented and buoyant insect larva-style trout softbait developed for finesse fishing when trout are feeding on small prey.

Particularly effective during summer when trout are feeding higher in the water column, the Larva Bee can be fished virtually weightless, paired with a small tungsten jig head, or weighted more heavily to target deeper fish.

Available in 3cm and 5cm sizes, with four specially selected colour assortments matched to different combinations of sky conditions and water clarity.

Each container includes 10 scented Larva Bee softbaits in five different colours – two of each colour.

3cm or 5cm

The Larva Bee is available in two sizes:

3cm – the finesse option for trout focused on particularly small prey or when a very subtle presentation is required.

5cm – provides a larger profile while retaining the same soft, buoyant larva presentation.

Fish It Straight or L-Shaped

One of the clever features of the Larva Bee is the ability to change its action simply by altering how it's rigged.

Mounted straight, the softbait produces a subtle vibration as it's retrieved.

Rig it in an L-shape and the lure develops a more pronounced swinging movement during the retrieve.

This lets you change the action without changing lures.

Floating & Versatile

The Larva Bee's buoyant construction opens up several presentation options.

When trout are feeding near the surface, it can be fished with Balzer's smallest tungsten head or even weightless on a hook.

For deeper fish, add a heavier tungsten weight and work the Larva Bee through the water column. Its buoyancy can create an ascending insect-style presentation, providing another way to imitate natural trout food.
